Ruth is a young woman of great strength and fortitude. She has the integrity and determination to continue to farm and develop her skills as a farmer and permaculture trainer. She supports other women to get an education. 

The farmland that Ruth and her mom are needing $500 US dollars donation for right away has been in her family for over thirty years. Due to a lack of title transfer back in 1997 when her father bought the land and the current urgency of displacement, the legal title is still held in the original owner's family name. A law in Kenya states that any person on the legal title that is still alive must sign over the title, even if there are contracts and purchase agreements indicating title in the buyer's name and should have been in the buyer's name a long time ago

The Chief of the village has agreed to allow Ruth and her mom to pay a mere $600 US dollars to receive a clear title in their name for the farmland, which will allow them to be compensated by the Kenyan government for the market value and buy replacement farmland. 

This is an urgent situation and time-sensitive.

The descendants of the seller of the land back in 1997 has already been paid $100 US dollars, but Ruth and her mom urgently need the remaining $500. As of July 11, 2025 the title owners are calling in their debt.
